A little bit about Vladivostok

Vladivostok is Russia's largest port city on the Pacific Ocean and is situated at the head of the Golden Horn Bay not far from Russia's border with China and North Korea. The first child was born in Vladivostok in 1863. The Trans-Siberian Railway connects Vladivostok to Moscow and Europe. The city's main industries are shipping, commercial fishing and the naval base. The average temperature in January is 7.3 f and in August is 68.4 f. Vladivostok is the home to numerous educational institutions, including six universities.
