Bittersweet

The holidays this year in the Cooper house are I guess we could call "bittersweet"!!! We are so excited that we have met our baby boy, have held him, have cuddled with him, have given him his oh so perfect name and have fallen absolutely totally in love with him BUT we are so sad that he is not here with us yet in his new home to celebrate the Christmas holidays. We have decided that we will leave all of the decorations up and keep his presents under the tree until he arrives which we are hopeful to be sooner rather than later! This wait between trips is excruciating! Everything is ready and now we are just waiting for HIM!!! We continue to just try and stay as busy as possible as we wait for the phone to ring to tell us...."get going - your little boy is ready to come home!"

Merry Christmas our little angel!!!! Not too much longer and we will be reunited with you and this time we will never let you go again!!!

We love you!!!

  2. Jason and I completely understand. Our little one's birthday is Christmas Day, and we were so hoping to have her home by her first bday. The wait between the first and second trips is the very WORST. But we will have them home soon and for always. Blessings to you and yours.

  5. Now I have a little hint at how hard the wait between trips is... and we don't leave Vlad for a few more hours! You are going to have such a wonderful new year and I pray you get word of a court date SOON!

  7. Hi Tracey,
Just came across your blog from another blog I follow and wanted to say Hey! We adopted our son from Russia a year and a half ago and are currently in the process of adopting #2 from Russia.

I noticed you are in Huntsville. We are in central TX right now but are currently working with a realtor to move to the Huntsville area. I saw your picture in front of the Hampton Cove entrance, we have friends that live there.

We also have a chocolate lab named Bella!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and tell you not to get down during the wait. I promise it will all be a distant memory very soon!! Susan, Randy and Artem

  9. Tracey, can you email me? I don't have your email. staylor602@hotmail.com

We have found a home that we love in Hartselle and we are trying to decide if we should buy it now and redo our paperwork in AL or stay put in TX and wait until after the adoption is done, which might be several months. I was wondering how the AL home study was and if you have a SW in Huntsville that you like.
