The Countdown is Beginning
Today marks 1 week and counting until we set out on a jet plane to bring our beautiful baby boy home!! We will be arriving in Vladivostok on Monday, Feb 1. Instead of using a courier to go to the US Embassy in Moscow, we have decided to take a road trip and will be heading to Moscow and spending a few days to finish up all the necessary paperwork. We look forward to visiting Moscow and experiencing all the history the city has to offer. I am sure there is nothing like Moscow in the middle of February!!!

ReplyDeleteA road trip from Vlad to Moscow? How many days will that take?
ReplyDeleteMoscow is lovely in February!! There is nothing like stepping out of your apartment on Novy Arbat and breathing in the 12 degree morning air along with a healthy dose of cigarette smoke. Ahh the memories.
Great decision to go via Moscow! Not only it is going to break you plane rife in 1/2 but also Moscow is magical. So beautiful and us even we were scared for not having the studio anymore, it was actually easier as there is so much to do. The only thing, be prepare to find baby food in Moscow is a nightmare. However if you ask for Fridays restaurant, right across from it there is a big shopping area and movie theater and you will find everything you will need for babies included a stroller which was the best thing we bought to visit the city. The weather will be clod but well dress it is actually not that bad!! Wish you all the best and enjoy every minutes of your experience. (Be ready also for the emotional roller coaster all us as families went thru...but that is normal).
ReplyDeleteMoscow is amazing and you will be so glad that you took some time to see all of the sights and sounds!! If you want to shop for souvenirs to to Izmaylovo Market - just as good as Old Arbat and everything is cheaper!!
ReplyDeleteWe are so thrilled you have a court date. We are chasing around trying to get all our paperwork ready for court. We'll be so glad when we never have to hear the word notary or apostille again!!
